| Our company's activities touch millions of lives around the globe. In view of this, we assume responsibility for environmental conservation companywide, on a global basis. In fiscal 2008, the Ricoh Group announced its 16th Mid-Term Environmental Action Plan to reduce 20% of environmental impact from fiscal year 2000 levels, within fiscal 2010. The action plan has four key focal areas: effective use of resources to build a resource-recirculating society, development of environmental technologies to proactively address climate change, enhanced management of chemical substances to ensure our products and business activities are environmentally safe, and conservation of bio-diversity. |
