UL certification us is a powerful tool to enter international markets faster, reduce compliance risks and build buyer confidence. In Thailand, UL labels are widely used by manufacturers serving export markets, multinational customers and regulated industries.

Why UL certification is essential for Thai manufacturers?
Access International Export Market
- Access to North America: The UL mark is the most trusted safety mark in North America. For Thai exporters, having UL certification is often mandatory to sell electrical products, power cords, and machinery in the United States and Canada.
- Global Credibility: It signals that products meet rigorous international standards for electrical safety, fire resistance, and mechanical durability.
Local Regulatory Compliance & Support (TISI)
- TISI Partnership: UL's Thailand inspection body is recognized by the Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI). UL Thailand can help manufacturers obtain TISI certification for 26 mandatory standards for lighting, HVAC, and household appliances.
Safety and Credibility
- Testing: UL tests ensure products meet high-performance specs, lowering risks of fire, electric shock, and equipment failure.
- Brand Value: The UL label boosts trust and differentiates Thai products, demonstrating a commitment to safety and quality, which is crucial for competing in the global market.

UL Recognized Component (Categorized/Recognized)
A component or part that has been certified as safe for assembly into a final product.
Application: Used on internal parts of machinery or electrical equipment that are not directly in user contact such as Fire doors (tested only for fire resistance) or industrial enclosures classified for certain environmental protection levels (e.g., UV light, moisture)

UL 969 (Label and Labeling Standard)
Defines testing for labels (adhesion, durability) to ensure safety information remains intact on a product.
Function: Tests the durability of labels. Labels/nameplates attached to UL Listed or Recognized products ensure that the labels will not peel, fade, or become illegible when exposed to various environments such as heat, humidity, or chemicals such as warning labels on electrical boxes, automotive parts, outdoor equipment, or medical devices requiring durability.
UL969 is required high quality label and ribbons, as it focuses on the long-term performance of product markings.
Ricoh Thermal transfer ribbons are approved UL which can be used with many approved UL label brands.
