Ricoh Thailand ZOOM! event

by Ricoh Thailand31 May 2023

Being ‘customer-centric’ is one of the main values that Ricoh Thailand (RTH) employees have been prioritising over time. Ricoh innovations and technologies have been crafted to assist our customers in their digital transformation journey and to free them from tedious manual tasks.

This is how Ricoh supports customers, allowing them to unleash their creativity and potential, as well as encourage them to find ‘Fulfillment through Work.’

Similarly, Ricoh works hard to enable our own employees to find fulfillment in their work. To help us do this, RTH recently arranged an internal event called ‘ZOOM!’ to raise awareness of the new Ricoh Way and to encourage RTH employees to apply it regularly through various activities.

Awareness of the new Ricoh Way and products
Various booths were set up at the event venue to help RTH employees familiarise themselves with Ricoh’s main principles as well as products.

These booths were arranged by the Commercial and Industrial Printing (CIP), Office Printing (OP), and Ricoh’s 4 Areas of Expertise (consisting of Hybrid Workplace, Workflow & Automation, Cloud & IT Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity), Thermal Media, and Human Resources teams, and provided group activities for participants to get to know each other as well as Ricoh as a company.
Kickoff with a message from the president
In the main conference hall, the convention began with a presentation and discussion around the company’s main focuses and goals for FY23 by Julian J.L. Fryett, president of Ricoh Thailand.
To reach those goals, he said RTH employees have to work in harmony, focus on Ricoh’s basic principles, learn from experiences, and grow to become more customer oriented.

Inspire to find joy and fulfillment from work
Aligning with the theme of Fulfillment through Work, the next speaker was CK Cheong, CEO of Fastwork.co. Widely known in Thailand as a career and self-development inspirer, CK believes that individual workers should find goals, decide who they want to be, and then work towards it.

Take a Closer Look at Ricoh Products
After the guest speaker’s discussion, Ricoh’s Division Manager Innovation and Digital Business Development mention one of Ricoh’s Values—Gemba. Learning from the ‘real place’, He encouraged Ricoh staff to apply Gemba to identify customers’ problems and find the right solution for them.

Then, there were presentations by Ricoh Thailand’s managers and staff. The presenters from CIP, OP, and OS divisions focused on product overviews, plans, and success cases in order to inspire the audience to move forward in the same direction.
Wrap up
The ZOOM! event was a success and left a good impression on both speakers and attendees.

It successfully helped the participants ‘ZOOM out’ to get a better overall understanding of Ricoh’s principles, goals, and solutions. Consequently, this allows participants to ‘ZOOM in’ to better identify customers’ problems and help overcome them with Ricoh solutions and services.

The event reinforced the message that RTH is ready to help customers digitally transform their business and at the same time find Fulfillment through Work.
