The use of a barcode system in asset management increases efficiency in tracking, counting, and recording asset data quickly and accurately. This is done by attaching barcodes to assets and using a barcode reader to scan the data and record details such as asset codes, model numbers, who is responsible for the asset, or other information. This reduces errors from manual recordings and saves time in managing the organization's assets.
Benefits of Using Barcodes in Asset Management
- Increased speed and accuracy
- Saves time and resources
- Real-time data tracking and easy search
- Reduced costs
- Efficient data management

Work process
- Receive the assets, create an asset code. When receiving the assets, a barcode sticker with a unique code for each asset must be affixed to the assets, saved in the system and a barcode or QR code generated.
- Barcode labeling: Barcode labels must be durable and printed with high-quality ribbons that can be used for a long time. Printed with desktop barcode printers ZD230, ZD421, resin ribbon B110CR and labels (labels/stickers) such as PET film stickers, foil stickers (foil).
- Asset Management: Record data into the system, set usage rights, usage information, and check assets.
- Counting with a portable computer to search, count or update asset data. MC3300, MC3400, MC9400
- Processing and Reporting System: The system reads data from barcodes and retrieves asset information for display, enabling further actions such as recording movement, counting, and alerting for repairs. The system then generates a summary report of asset information, which can be exported as an Excel or PDF file for further use.
